for Claude Code
The slop-o-meter skill
The same card, made by Claude from your project: it interviews you about what you did before the AI got involved, reads the project for the rest, writes the log, checks the score and renders a 1080p card with synthesised sound, plus the "where the AI went" block for your video description.
Install
- Unzip it into
~/.claude/skills/so you have~/.claude/skills/slop-o-meter/SKILL.md. - In that folder, run
npm installandnpx playwright install chromium(the renderer draws the card in a headless browser). Rendering needsffmpegand Python 3 with numpy for the sound. - Ask Claude Code for "a slop-o-meter for this video". It asks you about the song and idea first, because the project files only show what the AI did.
What's in it
SKILL.md: the scoring rules and the steps.rubric.json: categories, weights, levels and verdicts. Change a weight there and the gauge's bands follow.player/: the card, a pure function of time on a canvas (the same code as this site's generator).scripts/score.py: checks a log and prints the score and description text.scripts/render.mjs: stills or the mp4.scripts/sfx.py: the sound, synthesised, no samples.examples/: a filled-in log.
Why bother
"Made with AI" says nothing. A log that says the song is Suno, the lyrics are half mine, the picture is code and nobody generated a single frame of video says something. Viewers can decide what they think of it, and you don't have to argue in the comments.
