The owner didn't write this. This repo never submitted itself. The Cap'm found it on a truffle trawl and wrote its paperwork from what GitHub already shows. Picked by hand by the Cap'm on 2026-10-04: iOS MPD remote with partition support; its own README says "Vibe coded with Claude Code". 1 stars; MIT license. The owner did not submit this. Votes count; awards don't until the owner claims it.

I'm not calling your project slop! Geeze, it's a joke... Do you own this repo?

Log in with GitHub as mickegris. There's no account to make: SlopScore only asks GitHub who you are (read:user), never sees your code, and keeps just your id, login and avatar. Then you can:

  • Keep it, on your terms. Commit your own slopscore.md (spec) and press Refresh. Your paperwork replaces the Cap'm's, and you can submit it for Slop of the Day.
  • Take it down. One click on Remove. It stays gone; the trawl never brings it back.

The Cap'm's log

The Cap'm wrote this paperwork, not the owner. This repo never submitted itself to SlopScore. The Cap'm picked it by hand: iOS MPD remote with partition support; its own README says "Vibe coded with Claude Code". It carries the MIT license. The disclosures above are his best guess from what GitHub shows.

Is this yours? Commit a real slopscore.md and press Refresh to replace this, or remove the listing in one click. There's no account to make: you log in with GitHub.

Features

Now Playing — Album art (fetched from MusicBrainz/CoverArtArchive), synced lyrics (via LRCLIB), seek bar, transport controls (play/pause, stop, previous, next), volume slider, and mode toggles (repeat, shuffle, single, consume). Shows the audio format (e.g. 44.1 kHz · 16-bit · stereo), plus replay gain and crossfade controls. The square pane flips between artwork, lyrics and the live queue, and shows which playlist the current song is playing from — a label that survives shuffling the playlist and restarting the app. Synced lyrics follow the song by default; a Sync/Scroll switch lets you read ahead without being pulled back to the current line. Quick buttons reach outputs and partition switching without leaving the screen. Add the current song to a playlist with one tap.

Library — Browse by albums, artists, songs, genres, playlists or recently added, with search filtering and sorting. Albums can be shown as a list or an album-art grid. Album and artist detail views include Wikipedia summaries. Play or enqueue entire albums/artists with one tap. Multi-disc albums are collapsed into a single row with a disc count, whether the discs are marked in the album name or only in the tracks' disc tags. Compilations and soundtracks whose tracks are each by a different artist are shown as one album credited to "Various Artists", detected from the directory the tracks share so two same-titled albums by different artists still stay apart.

Songs — Every track in the library, A–Z or Z–A by title, with an A–Z index for jumping and a filter over title, artist and album (All / Title / Artist / Album scope row). Tap to play; swipe or long press to add to the queue, play next, or add to a playlist. Sorted by the app rather than by MPD, whose own title sort is by byte order (lowercase and accented titles end up after Z). Loaded in small pages so large libraries cannot overflow MPD's output buffer; needs MPD 0.21 or newer.

Recently Added — Albums added to MPD in the last 30 days, newest first, as a list or art grid. Uses MPD 0.24's added-since filter, so re-tagging your library does not make everything look new.

Playlists — Full stored-playlist support: browse, rename, and delete playlists, save the queue as a playlist, tap a track to play it in playlist context, shuffle-play a whole playlist, drag to reorder, swipe to remove or enqueue. Entries whose files have since been moved or deleted are marked as missing, with the folder they were in, and can be swiped away. "Add to Playlist" is available from Now Playing, albums, search results, and the queue.

Recently Played — Client-side listening history, accessible from the clock button in Now Playing. Shows an album grid (tap to open the album) and a per-track list; history is kept per server for 30 days / 100 entries. Note: recording requires the app to be running — songs played on the MPD device while the app is backgrounded (without "Listen on Phone" active) are not captured.

Radio — Built-in Swedish Radio streams (SR P1–P4 Göteborg) plus custom station management with persistent storage.

CD — Play audio CDs directly via cdda:/// URIs with per-track control.

File Browser — Navigate the MPD directory tree from the Library tab's Files chip. Single-tap enters directories, double-tap plays files. Swipe actions for add/play.

Search — Concurrent search across songs, artists, albums and stored playlists with debounced input, batch selection, and album art thumbnails. Playlists match both by name and by what they contain, so searching an artist finds the playlists holding their tracks.

Queue — A tab of its own. View and manage the current playlist. Tap a song to play it, drag to reorder, swipe to delete, shuffle the queue in place, clear all, toggle consume mode. "Add Next" (from album, search and playlist rows) queues a track right after the one playing.

Outputs & Partitions — Toggle audio outputs on/off and switch partitions straight from Now Playing. Move playback between partitions — the queue, the current track and its position follow, and the room you left stops (needs playlist_directory set in mpd.conf). The Outputs tab adds creating and deleting partitions and moving outputs between them (outputs are disabled before a move, which avoids a server-side stall). Optional partition memory across reconnects.

Multiple Servers — Save any number of MPD servers and switch between them from the banner at the top of Now Playing, which names the server in use whenever more than one is configured. Nearby servers advertising over Bonjour/Zeroconf are discovered automatically and can be added directly. Passwords are stored in the Keychain, and the last-used partition is remembered per server.

Listen on Phone — Stream audio from an MPD httpd output directly to the device. Supported encoders are mp3, Opus and FLAC; the app detects which one the server is sending and adapts, so changing MPD's encoder needs no change here and there is no codec setting to keep in sync. Configure the stream URL per server, then toggle "Listen on phone" in Now Playing. Supports background playback with lock screen metadata (song title, artist, album art) and lock screen transport controls. Pausing — from the app, the lock screen or another client — silences the phone at once and closes the stream, so a paused phone uses no network; playing rejoins the live stream. Opus and FLAC streams buffer, carry on across track changes and reconnect by themselves after a network blip; FLAC plays at the source's sample rate.

Snapcast — Control a Snapcast multiroom server from the More tab. Adjust per-client volume and latency, mute groups, move clients between groups, rename clients, switch stream sources, and remove disconnected clients. Real-time updates via Snapcast's JSON-RPC push notifications. Configure the Snapcast host/port per MPD server profile (defaults to the MPD host, port 1705).

Server Statistics — Library totals (songs, albums, artists, total playing time) and server uptime, playtime and last database update, from the More tab. Trigger a database update or a full rescan from the same screen; the figures refresh themselves when the scan finishes.

Diagnostics — An optional rolling log of recent MPD commands with timings, under More (off by default). Slow commands are highlighted and the whole log can be copied, which makes a stalled or unresponsive server far easier to pin down. The same screen can clear the album-art cache, which forces covers that failed to load to be fetched again.

Now-playing markers — Whatever is playing is marked wherever it appears: the track in the queue, album, playlist, search results, file browser, radio and CD lists, and the album it belongs to in every album list and grid. A multi-disc album is marked on its single collapsed row, whichever disc is playing.
