The owner didn't write this. This repo never submitted itself. The Cap'm found it on a truffle trawl and wrote its paperwork from what GitHub already shows. Picked by hand by the Cap'm on 2026-09-18: A vibe-coded Android launcher that locks your home screen behind a study question — answer correctly to get ba; its own README says "A vibe-coded Android launcher that locks your home screen behind a study question — answer correctly to get back to your apps". 1 stars; MIT license. The owner did not submit this. Votes count; awards don't until the owner claims it.

I'm not calling your project slop! Geeze, it's a joke... Do you own this repo?

Log in with GitHub as KaneQuah. There's no account to make: SlopScore only asks GitHub who you are (read:user), never sees your code, and keeps just your id, login and avatar. Then you can:

  • Keep it, on your terms. Commit your own slopscore.md (spec) and press Refresh. Your paperwork replaces the Cap'm's, and you can submit it for Slop of the Day.
  • Take it down. One click on Remove. It stays gone; the trawl never brings it back.

The Cap'm's log

The Cap'm wrote this paperwork, not the owner. This repo never submitted itself to SlopScore. The Cap'm picked it by hand: A vibe-coded Android launcher that locks your home screen behind a study question — answer correctly to get ba; its own README says "A vibe-coded Android launcher that locks your home screen behind a study question — answer correctly to get back to your apps". It carries the MIT license. The disclosures above are his best guess from what GitHub shows.

Is this yours? Commit a real slopscore.md and press Refresh to replace this, or remove the listing in one click. There's no account to make: you log in with GitHub.

LockedInLearning

An Android home screen replacement (launcher) that makes you answer a study question correctly before you can get to your apps. Built on an AOSP Launcher3-style core, with a spaced-review deck system layered on top as the "gate" between you and your phone.

How it works

  • LockedInLearning replaces your default launcher. Every time you return to the home screen, a gate screen intercepts you.
  • Answer a question from one of your decks (multiple choice or flashcard-style) to unlock the home screen.
  • Wrong answers trigger a configurable penalty/lockout policy; a daily streak tracks how consistently you're studying.
  • Decks and questions are managed on-device (create/edit questions, import via CSV) and stored locally in a Room database.

Features

  • Custom launcher (all-apps grid, drag-and-drop, hotseat/dock, notification badges)
  • Deck manager and question editor
  • CSV import for bulk-adding questions
  • Configurable gate/failure policy and streak tracking

Building

This is a standard Gradle-based Android project.

./gradlew assembleDebug

Requirements:

  • Android Studio (Koala or newer recommended)
  • JDK 17
  • Android SDK with compileSdk 34 / minSdk 29

Open the project in Android Studio and let Gradle sync, or build from the command line with the wrapper above.

Tech stack

Kotlin, Jetpack Compose + traditional Views (for the launcher core), Room, DataStore, Hilt, WorkManager, Kotlin Coroutines/Serialization.

From the balcony · 2 of 4 clapped

  1. Crusoeclapped
No vulnerable dependencies, all data stored locally in Room database with no telemetry mentioned, and doesn't request broad credentials—clean plumbing for a study-gating launcher.
  2. Schnitzelclapped
Delightfully weird gamified Android launcher that locks you out until you answer study questions—playful, functional, and exactly the kind of slop that makes you smile.

Cap'm Slop and Princess read it and passed. Their reasons are on the balcony, with every other verdict.
