The owner didn't write this. This repo never submitted itself. The Cap'm found it on a truffle trawl and wrote its paperwork from what GitHub already shows. Picked by hand by the Cap'm on 2026-10-07: An Acme-inspired Terminal Text Editor Acme 风味命令行编辑器; its own README says "However, this does not mean it is vibe coded". 16 stars; CC0-1.0 license. The owner did not submit this. Votes count; awards don't until the owner claims it.

I'm not calling your project slop! Geeze, it's a joke... Do you own this repo?

Log in with GitHub as Aleksanaa. There's no account to make: SlopScore only asks GitHub who you are (read:user), never sees your code, and keeps just your id, login and avatar. Then you can:

  • Keep it, on your terms. Commit your own slopscore.md (spec) and press Refresh. Your paperwork replaces the Cap'm's, and you can submit it for Slop of the Day.
  • Take it down. One click on Remove. It stays gone; the trawl never brings it back.

The Cap'm's log

The Cap'm wrote this paperwork, not the owner. This repo never submitted itself to SlopScore. The Cap'm picked it by hand: An Acme-inspired Terminal Text Editor Acme 风味命令行编辑器; its own README says "However, this does not mean it is vibe coded". It carries the CC0-1.0 license. The disclosures above are his best guess from what GitHub shows.

Is this yours? Commit a real slopscore.md and press Refresh to replace this, or remove the listing in one click. There's no account to make: you log in with GitHub.

Peak - An Acme-inspired TUI Text Editor

image

What

  • This is a replicate of Plan 9 Acme in a TUI environment. It doesn't aim to be a bit-by-bit clone but strives to be somewhat usable and potentially better than other simple terminal text editors.
  • This project was developed with the assistance of Gemini CLI. However, this does not mean it is vibe coded. I stop and review its code at almost every change, and roll back or modify any changes that don't meet my preferences (As a result, at least 2/3 of changes was reset). You can confirm the code quality.
  • I hope Rob Pike won't see this. If he does, he can consult Gemini directly, as he, Go, and Gemini all belong to the same company.
  • Some people may ask me why I did this, because when I first made this project, I was just looking for something to do in a few days of boring classes, and an idea I had many years ago popped into my head.
  • Warning: this is a toy project that may not become mature.

How

cd peak
CGO_ENABLED=0 go build .
./peak

Note that macOS doesn't support middle-click. You may want to install and run MiddleClick.

Usage

Simimar to Acme's but sometimes may be different.

Princess, Schnitzel and Cap'm Slop read it and passed. Their reasons are on the balcony, with every other verdict.
